I study Entertainment Technology at Portsmouth University……

…….and when I grow up………I want to be a Flash Designer.

Throughout the study of my course, I have gained a real interest in creative digital media. I am a proficient user of the internet and I am inspired by the mass amount of creative content used across the Web, whether it is an effective banner advert or a masterful website design. I have regularly used different multimedia packages such as Adobe Photoshop, Flash and Director to produce external client work as well as coursework projects. 

I have a passion for creative ideas and it gives me great satisfaction to hear how impressed a client is with my work. I used this motivation to design my local football team’s new club brand, and also produced a banner advertisement campaign for a friend’s new skill trade website, in which I went through a detailed development process to create the final designs to the client’s specification. I am inspired by creative multimedia and all things digital, and having a good knowledge of Flash and other design software has inspired me to find a career in Flash Design.

Only recently, I decided that I wanted to do an online journal rather than a written journal. I had never used a blog before, however, I realised it would be more beneficial to create a blog to get used to the feel of things as I will want to use one in the future anyway. I wanted to stress that point so it isn’t thought that I produed all the information on this blog in the last minute, as the dates suggest I only starting my blog recently.
